We need a place to live

In the last two weeks, we have finished our antipodean adventures, parched ourselves in the Sonora desert of California and now find ourselves struggling against a perverse rental market in San Francisco. If anyone knows of a habitat that accepts both dogs and humans, that is not nestled into an active elders' community, we would love to hear about it. We are preparing to snuggle up in car living. We are in California, after all. The problem with this, of course, is that we don't have a car to live in.
